From Margie:
Merry Christmas to All.
Just a quick 2014 update. I still go to the Farm Basket to do payroll and to spend Duane's money twice a week. Also, I spend a couple hours a month on Mary Beth's books.
My health is still good. Had to change primary doctors this year and the new doctor said he would not make any changes. I take this as being good news.
All my Grandchildren and Great Granddaughters are growing up too fast. Nora Denney Gaskin made her appearance the day before Thanksgiving. She looks just like her 6 year old sister did at birth.
O.K. enough of my bragging. I want to thank Dan for the Newsletter each year and to wish each of you a very Merry Christmas and Healthy year ahead.
Love,
Margie

From Steve and Family:
Hello all!
Merry Christmas to all and a very Happy-Healthy and Blessed New Year Ahead! Has this year really gone faster than last year? Or does it just seem that way????
Well, like everyone else we have had our ups and downs and all staying busy. Steve is still helping with the boy scouts and his troop has recently increased in size which is very good and is difficult to do as the boys get older. Steve had cateract surgery in February on his right eye and what a difference!!! Things are clearer-brighter and he does not need to use his "cheater" readers as much anymore!! In June he went through a week long Stephens Ministry Leader Training course. So he is the new Leader at our church due to our current one moving out of state. This keeps him very busy but he enjoys it and is very good at it. Steve still fills in for our Pastor 3-4 times a year when our Pastor can't be there. Steve is honored that he can do this. Plus he does a great job!
Mae recently found out she has Rheumatoid Arthritis and is in the process of getting medications that are right for her and will help her, please say a prayer. Mae also stays busy, she is in charge of sending out a series of grief books to the loved ones of those who have passed away--there are 4 books sent at different times throughout the year. She also takes people to the drs or if they are having same day surgery-many of our members only have family up north-so we are their family here.
Chris graduated and recieved his Bachelors from the University of South Florida in May--we are very proud of him!! He still works at Busch Gardens and has a part time job that also includes sound, lighting etc all around central florida-in fact he was at Bali-wood. Chris was recently in a car accident--he was hit in the rear by a drunk driver, who fled the scene and Chris chased him and the police caught the guy! But Chris was left with back and neck pain but after several visits to the chirocpractor he is doing better. He got his car fixed but traded it in on his dream car (since high school) 2014 Hyundai Genesis Coupe--he loves it!!
Lori is doing very good! She is feeling good she is in nursing school full time as well as keeping her part time job. Her paramedic training has helped her a lot but she has put in a LOT of time studying! She is in the top percentile in her class-excelling past a lot of junior classmates. We are very proud of her! She should be graduating in April.
Spencer is doing good as well--he has his Charter Captains license and worked at Sea Base in the Keys for about 5 months (which is a boy scout camp where Scouts come from all over) to learn all different skills, some are sailing, diving and how to cook the fish they caught on a grill on his boat. When he's home he works at a marina and has fun on a jet ski he recently bought.
Ella is doing very well. She finished her Stephens Ministry training and was commissioned by our church in June and is providing one on one Christian care and helps them with their life struggles. She is very good at it! She recently took a trip up north to visit family and frients, she was there about 10 days and had a great time, I think she was glad to get back to the Florida sunshine!!
Well--Thats about it for another year from our household. We hope everyone has a very merry Christmas and a healthy and prosperous new year. May God Bless and keep each of you as His dear children.
Love Steve, Mae, Chris, Lori, Spencer & Ella

From Mary Beth and Family:
Greetings Family!

My Laser business has become exactly what I had hoped for and I couldn't be happier. Well, perhaps a bit happier if there were no need to work at all! My office is about 5 minutes from home, keeps me as busy as I choose, and Mom does my book-keeping, which affords me the flexibility to do the “Mama thing”, which is my favorite thing to do!

Eli is doing well in the 5th grade and provides us with plenty of action playing in the fall and spring baseball leagues. He plays several positions but shines the most as short-stop, pitcher, and catcher. In the summer he is wake boarding and water skiing whenever he gets a chance and then heads into fall as water-boy for the high school football team, as Elise cheers them to victory. (Hopefully!)

Elise’s cheer team is currently headed into competition season with high pressures as her squad placed  2nd place in the state competition last year.  Yes, both of my kids make me very proud!  Elise turned 16 this past May and I surprised her with a 4 day, girls only, trip to New York City.  We had so much fun and I am so happy that she and I are such good friends and we truly enjoy each other’s company.

Gene lives in St. Augustine and we stay quite friendly. He continues to travel for a living and manages to be in Tampa often enough to spend time with the kids.

I look forward to reading everyone’s entry and I thank Uncle Dan and Aunt Barbara for making this available to us. Please God, continue to Bless our beautiful family!

Merry Christmas!

From Lisa and family:
Season’s Greetings to Everyone!

What a year, I’m still spinning. This year has brought about lots of home projects. We put in a brand new pool (May & June), got a new septic system (August) and demolished our screen porch on the back of our house. We’ve completed most of the work in rebuilding our new 3 season porch (Started last Oct/Nov). The project is ongoing as Alan is doing most of the finish work himself and it is coming out quite nicely.

The US Airways/American Airlines merger was indeed finalized in December last year. Not much has changed in regard to Alan‘s work or job although in our experience not much usually does in the first couple of years after a merger. So we’ll see. We’re all hoping for good changes!

We recently decided to replace my 1981 Ford Step Side Pickup Truck. (I bought it in Nov 1980 in Texas.) We ended up with a 2005 Toyota Tacoma Dual Cab Pickup Truck with less than 12,000 miles. I think my husband thinks he’s died and gone to heaven. You see it was my truck and my sentimental ties that has kept it with me for all these years. Alan has just accommodated me by not insisting that it be replaced. Pretty much it just sits around waiting to go to the dump, Home Depot and Lowes. In any event we decided to replace the truck and make it a go everywhere vehicle thereby enabling us to get by with one less vehicle. I haven’t actually let the Ole’ Girl go yet, so y’all probably need to pray for me! After all she’s been with me 34 years now! ;-)

Our annual trip to Florida in early July shifted to late July this year to celebrate Mom’s 75th birthday. She had a surprise party and she told me the next day that it was the most fun she has had in a long time. Guess it was a hit! But let me tell you, you have not lived until you see my Mom dressed up like one of “The Beards”! (More from Bonnie explaining that if you don’t already understand.) I have to give a shout out to Melinda for the photo albums she made for Mom. She’s been working on them for at least 2 years and they were fabulous. Thanks to “B” (Bonnie) for all the party favors and great game ideas, and to the rest of the gang for all the food and good times. It was a blast!

Becca is in her 3rd year of her dream job and still loves it. She does trivia every week for fun and participates in a community band weekly as well. This year she was responsible for creating the band’s halftime show at football games. In the past she’s done a couple of songs. They are always fun to watch.

Katie is a senior in High School and is in the thick of the whole college process right now. She has checked out UNC- Charlotte, UCF, Liberty University, UCONN and UMASS Amherst. So far UNC – Charlotte and UCONN are in the lead. There is definitely a University of Delaware trip in the works and possibly James Madison too. She was Co-Captain of her fall Spirit team and was chosen as Co-Captain of the winter Spirit team as well. Where does the time go? My baby is about to leave the nest. Did I say before y’all need to pray for me?

God Bless You All - Always & Forever,

Alan, Lisa, Becca & Katie

From Teresa and family:
Season’s Greetings Everyone,

I hope everyone is well and happy.  Not much has changed since the last newsletter.

Caleb is still working the cell towers in Lafayette, Louisiana.  He had a couple forays into Dallas this year, and is still hearing that they may get a long stint in the gulf, but he has pretty much settled down, and taken a house in Lafayette.  He works hard, and does a good job.  This has resulted in his becoming the best man the company has.  They rely heavily on him to carry a large portion of the workload, and to train and oversee other workers.   I see a lot of Jim Barthle in him.  He now has a girlfriend, Erin, who has two young children he seems to be crazy about.  It seems they are always out enjoying activities together.  Every time we’re on the phone it sounds like they are having a wonderful time.

Jessica is still working at Applebee’s, but has let go her cleaning business with the passing of her business partner.  She and Jay are still living in Riverview, and are trying to save for a home.  I say trying because, as we all know, when we set out to save for one thing, other things inevitably arise to snatch away what we miraculously manage to save.    They’ve had some obstacles, but have managed to look at a couple possibilities, and are still holding out hope.  Me too.  The puppy she got last year evidently had high aspirations.  Not being satisfied with his “runt” status, he set out for loftier goals, and pushed his way, by leaps and bounds, right on up to the big dog category.   Jessica’s love for animals caused her to rescue a beautiful husky this summer, so now she is enjoying the comforts of living in a tiny single-wide with Jay and three big dogs.  Oh well, maybe she’ll get elbow room in her next home.

I did get moved into my new, mold-free house, which has a carport by-the-way.  Yay!!!  It’s smaller so I got rid of a lot of stuff.  Yay!!!   Have brand-new everything.  Yay!!!  (I mean everything.  They gutted it, then started from scratch.)     Am enjoying a large fenced-in yard with many large oaks, magnolias, palms, and other beautiful flowering trees and shrubs.  Yay!!!   (Clue me in on any great deals you may come across for a zero-turn lawn mower.)  Gaga over a shed with electricity & A/C.  Yay!!!  (I love my shop-vac.)     I even have a skylight.  Yay!!!

Did I say, “Not much has changed?”  Oh well, I guess if you look at the big scheme of things, not much has changed really  --  only a few minor details.  After all, we still have the same jobs, in the same towns.  We still belong to the bestest family ever.  We still live in the good ole US of A.  And we still have our wonderful God, who has blessed us with every bit of it, and for whom we celebrate this special season.  I pray He’ll pour out more blessings on you than He ever dared to before, and that you’ll receive them with a heart that is ever-increasing in gratitude and the knowledge of Him.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

Love,
Teresa

From Bonnie and family:
Hello to all.
We had another blessed year. The Bee house is up and bees are buzzing. Beef prices are up and the calves are dropping. The sugar cane syrup produced about 32 gallons, so we replanted doubled the cane for this year. We are both still at the Post Office, which has been struggling until November. The postmaster general announced his retirement in February 2015, and the post office is miraculously 2 billion above revenue now and has 500 billion in the bank. It has to be because a Republican congress was just elected. Mike and Samson took a trip to Texas to pick up a new truck he found that he wanted but Texas is not what it’s advertised to be. What a fiasco! Two weeks later the truck was delivered to our home via a transport truck. We went tubing down the Rainbow River in Dunnellon, FL, great trip. We gave Joan a surprise 75 year birthday party which was themed after her favorite TV show DUCK DYNASTY. Then Rachael and Melinda planned Bonnie's 50th Birthday Party. Last December Bonnie’s female Border collie and Rachael’s Border collie both got pregnant and we had 17 puppies for Christmas. Then Rachael’s Border collie got pregnant again and had another 5 in September. Bonnie kept one from the last litter and Mike kept one from the first litter and Fred’s family kept one. The rest were taken to the local feed store where they disappeared in one day. Mike took a trip to Alabama, it was a two day trip with his dad and bought a sawmill. It rained the whole trip. Let you know how that venture goes next year.
Rachael, had a great time in New Hampshire with the Bergers, but was glad to get back to the Garden of Eden where the weather is decent and warm. She then flew to Connecticut and drove back with her boyfriend to Florida from his job. Then she got a new car in May, a KIA Optima - she loves the AC. She drove to Virginia with her boyfriend for a one day job there. Parents tinted her windows in her new car for her birthday – she loves it.
Samson has been busy traveling this year with work, last Thanksgiving he was in Buckeye, Arizona. From there he came home for a couple of months and bought a new truck. Then he went to New Kingston, Jamaica until May, then he came home and bought a Motorcycle. He then traveled to South America to Concepcion, Chile. Upon his return he bought a 78 Nova as a fixer upper. His next job was only 30 minutes away in Bartow; it lasted about a month. From there he went to Mount Vernon, Washington. After a couple weeks he went to Senora, California. This Thanksgiving he's in West Virginia. So our new phrase is "WHERE IN THE WORLD IS SAMSON?”.

We are humbly thankful for all the blessings God has bestowed upon us.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL-WAYS.
Luke 13:3 "I tell you, nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
George Whitefield sermon on this scripture in 1740
"Repentance is one continued act of our lives for as we daily commit sin so we need a daily repentance before God to obtain forgiveness for those sins we commit."
KEEP YOUR EYES ON JESUS ALL ELSE FALLS SHORT OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN

From Fred and family:
FROM FRED: Hello all,
What a year it has been for our family!  Janet and I are still with the City of Lakeland.  Kenny started full time with the City Parks and Rec dept. as of June 2nd. (A date that will be impossible to forget, because his most AWESOME little nephew was born the same day!) Jenna and her boyfriend Anthony became proud parents!  This crazy phenomenon turned me into a grandpa!  This also had some strange effect on the weather, because it NEVER snows in Florida, much less in June. But it must have on this day because I looked in the mirror and some of the hairs on the top of my head were white.  Oh boy! Easton James Lawson is his name and he has taken this family's hearts by storm!  Jenna is working full time for GC Services doing Verizon contracts or something another.  Anthony started full time with Publix Dairy Processing.  Kevin is a Junior in High School and is involved with more stuff than there are hours in a day to do it in.  Oh and we got a puppy in February from my nephew Samson!  Thanks Samson! (-:  It's been a Great Year!  God keeps on blessing!

Merry Christmas to you all!

P.S. Does my hair have permanent frostbite? Or will it return to its normal color? I'm just wonderin'.

From Mike and family:
A happy and holy Christmas to all!

2014 has been a very busy year for our gang. Even though our schedules are packed and we live in different cities, we have managed to get together often (though not often enough!).

A couple of events stand out:

Although Sarah and Dan were married in June of last year, we finally got around to having their wedding reception in New Orleans in April of this year. And what a party! It was great to see so many of their friends celebrate with them, and we were joined by many of our family in the Big Easy for a great celebration.

During the summer, everyone came home for the Fourth of July to help celebrate Jim and Winston Briggs’ 59th wedding anniversary. It was a special time at the lake for all of us.

We also had a chance to get together in Washington, DC over Labor Day weekend for a family wedding. And everyone is planning to attend Jenn’s wedding in Chicago in a couple of weeks (congrats, Jenn and Mikey!).

As mentioned, Sarah and Dan are living in New Orleans. After teaching for several years in the KIPP Charter school network in Atlanta and for the last year in New Orleans, she has decided to pursue her Doctorate in School Psychology at LSU (Geaux Tigers!). Dan is continuing his work with Federated Sample.

Caroline is now in her second year of teaching at Brooklyn Ascend Charter School in Brooklyn. This year she is teaching social studies and science to first graders and, as good teachers do, is really enjoying the daily successes that come with the job. Before school started she moved from Manhattan to an apartment near Prospect Park in Brooklyn, a great neighborhood, and a lot closer to her school. Nancy helped with the move (again) and much fun was had by all!

Nancy is still teaching the 3-year-old class at Hilton Presbyterian, and I am still working for Huntington Ingalls. We both enjoy our work, our time together, and our time with our family.

All of us wish each and every one of you the happiest and holiest of holiday seasons!

Caroline, Sarah and Dan, and Nancy and Mike

From Bernie and family:
For some reason this year just zipped by! Bernie reflected that it seemed like we just put the Christmas decorations away and here we are bringing them down again (One of his least favorite activities of the holiday season)!

Bernie has been flying quite a bit this year (His base in Griffin was short a pilot for most of the year). He achieved the status of Master Pilot for AirLife Georgia, reflecting his years of experience as an air-medical pilot. As we entered this month, Bernie transferred to the Conyers base. It’s closer to our house and avoids Atlanta traffic altogether. That cut his commute in half, allowing two more hours to spend with our family instead of in Atlanta traffic. Needless to say, that was an early Christmas present!

I have been working freelance marketing while actively seeking permanent employment outside of the home. With Bernie working so much I have stayed pretty busy keeping the house and all other incidentals that arise handled.

From Matt:
2014 was particularly exciting for me. Coming into my fourth year at Georgia State, I'm looking forward to the approaching finish line of college. I've found 2014 to be a year of personal growth on all fronts of my life. I started a music project and recorded an album this summer that should be out by the end of the year. I got the opportunity to do stand-up comedy a few times around Atlanta too, which as much as I enjoy will probably just remain a hobby. I've made a bunch of new friends and have been working informally with a technology consulting firm. It's been essentially an internship to this point, but it's looking like it could turn into a position in the near future. I'm optimistic to see what 2015 has in store!

Nathaniel celebrated a big milestone this year. He graduated from high school in May. We celebrated afterward with a very nice dinner and he received his dream graduation present - a MacBook. He is currently working for UPS. He is doing fantastic in his new job and has already garnered many accolades for his dedicated work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond. He has made both Bernie and I so proud of his disciplined approach to his job.

We are all healthy, happy, and feel very blessed. We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a joy-filled and wonderful New Year!

Love,

Jennifer, Bernie, Matthew and Nathaniel

Davidson Hobby Newsletter 2014
Is it really December already? We have had a fantastic year, although busier than should be legal! Collectively we have travelled to 25 States and 2 foreign countries. We’ve celebrated Redding’s retirement, Jennifer’s College graduation, Sarah and Dan’s wedding reception, 2 change of command ceremonies for Susan as well as her Promotion. We are all very proud of our “Modern Major General”. Oh, and we have planned an amazing wedding for Jennifer. Michael is still thriving in Hawaii with school and work; he manages to find time to surf and even sent me a video of a glider ride he took for his birthday. Although it was breathtakingly beautiful, I was glad he sent it AFTER he landed… Life for us has been a whirlwind. Our home is in Illinois again, and it is always open to family and friends. Living on an Air Force base is real nice, so please consider a visit. The best parts of our year were getting multiple opportunities to visit with our family and friends, whether in New Orleans or in Cleveland, here at Scott AF, or at homes around the country, it has just been great. Since moving here, we have been exceptionally blessed to have the opportunity for two of Redding’s daughters and their families to visit. Hard to believe we have 3 grandchildren already. Watching them laugh and play and grow, keeps us focused on the best things in life and we are thankful for our health to enjoy their energy. After some intense work on the Naples house while replacing the carpet, Redding noticed his heart rate was excessively high for no reason and didn’t return to normal. When he had it checked he found he needed an ablation to correct the rhythm. That went well and he’s back to 100%. No residual issues and docs told us there was no cause for it to happen, just a freak of nature. We did have some sad news this year, Ann Davidson, the kids’ grandmother, left this world and arrived in Heaven in September, we miss her immensely and continue to offer prayers. Fortunately, we have very fond memories and smile at the mention of her name, she would want it no other way.
We wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS and offer our most heartfelt prayers for each of you this holiday season. Best Wishes to you all in 2015--We love you all!!

Greetings All,
This year is over? WHAT?? I can’t believe it! Well, I guess the best place to start is at the beginning. In January, I began my final semester at Ave Maria University. It also began my last semester in Shakespeare In Performance. For our play, we did Twelfth Night or What You Will. I played Fabian, whom we named Fabiola, and I loved every second of it. I was a part of the comedy troupe and we had a blast, even though we ended up with bruises all over from our shenanigans. I checked off a bucket list item and spent an incredible weekend in New Orleans for Sarah and Dan’s wedding reception celebration! We had some responsible cousin fun, that is for sure! The sleepless nights continued when we returned and were filled with coffee and paper writing, like any college student. Then, we made it to May10th. Our class came to Ave in 2010 and we were the 10th graduating class. And, if you add May to the last two numbers of the year (5+1+4) you get 10!! That is obviously because we were all perfect 10’s! The summer began with the great Davidson-Hobby migration to home number 15! We loaded up into 3 cars, somehow I got stuck with the precious cargo, our wonderful 10-year-old puppies Buddy and Sassy. We caravanned half way across our nation, from PA to IL and got to hang out in the TLF (temporary living facility) for a month. Mom was then promoted to Major General, and yes, we did sing to her… OFTEN!! After all she is the very model of a modern major general. Next, we bought my wedding dress, mom picked it, and I began job hunting! It wasn’t going well… So, I went to FL to help my fiancé move into the Naples house and take a break from trying to find a job. Then, I found my dream job. The Disney store in St. Louis was hiring!!! I applied and got a phone call the very next morning. I signed up for an interview for when I returned home. A week later, I got the phone call that I had gotten the job! I have been working there since the beginning of September and I could not be happier with my job choice! It truly is a magical place and dreams do come true! So between work and wedding planning, I have not had much time to sit. However, I have found time to go to Chicago 3 times to do cake tastings, visit with Michaels family and to watch Joseph’s, Michaels youngest brother, high school football team win the IHSA 7A State Championships! It was a very fun weekend at U of I. So now, I wait. I hang-out with the friends I have made by working at the Disney Store and I dread the day I have to leave. However, I am looking forward to the exciting new adventure that awaits me. By time you all are reading this, I will be married. That is scary. I hope you all have an incredible holiday and that your next year is filled with many blessings. I love you all!

From Dean and family:
Merry Christmas from the beautiful shores of Lake Erie!  Once again a year has passed and we look back to wonder where the time went. And yet, when we reminisce we realize the year was packed with events and memories that we’ll cherish forever.

Early this year, Carrie continued her synchronized swimming and was selected for a solo routine during the spring show.  During the summer she was chosen to be in the advanced honor band as a 6th grader.  This fall she is playing CYO basketball and also finding time for the Christmas Honor Band.  On top of all this, she is excelling at school.

Tony is now half-way through his junior year, and is really hitting his stride.  He achieved first honors for both semesters of his sophomore year.  In May he competed for and was selected to be the Junior Drum Major for the St. Ignatius Marching Band.  He has also started the great college hunt, having visited several campuses including LSU, Auburn, University of Dayton and Cincinnati.

Anne is still working part time for the Euclid Schools as auxiliary clerk.  She also is volunteering at the St. Ignatius bookstore once a month.  And if she wasn’t busy enough, she took over as St. Ignatius Band Booster president in June.  During the fall she was the proud mom each time the band took to the field, especially when Tony was leading.

After 9 years working on Orion, I took a detail to the integration team of the Asteroid Retrieval Mission.  This will build on the success of Orion and will eventually enable flights to Mars.  I also have been the proud dad and have loved watching our kids excel in all they do.

Some of the best times of the year, though, were the times spent with family.  We’re so thankful that we were able to see so many over Easter in New Orleans for Sarah & Dan’s reception.  We’ll never forget sharing a plate of powdered sugar with Aunt Cinda – did we ever find the beignets?  Then our pride overflowed as we watched Susie pin on her second star – no family can be more proud of her success!

We hope everyone has a wonderful new year.

Anne, Dean, Tony & Carrie

From Brian and family:
Greetings from the Alabama branch of the Petters clan!

As the boys are getting older, there isn’t so much that is changing from year to year, but the changes are significant.

John graduated in May from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics.   He is going on with his studies to obtain a Master’s degree in education, looking to graduate in May 2016.   He is tutoring at Sylvan in the Birmingham area, and also working on campus.

Ben is finishing his co-op job with the National Guard.   He will have three semesters left at Auburn, then graduate in mechanical engineering. He is planning to attend the March for Life in Washington, D. C. for the first time in January.

Leo had an extremely busy year.   He was the senior patrol leader at the local Boy Scout National Youth Leadership Training course this summer.   He was also working on his Eagle project, which was finished at the beginning of the school year.   In the middle of October, he passed his board of review and is now an Eagle Scout. He will graduate high school in May and is applying to Navy, Notre Dame, Auburn and LSU for next fall. He is currently first in his class.

Henry is enjoying his first year in high school.   He played tenor drums in marching band and joined the Montgomery Youth Orchestra on bassoon.   He participated in Youth Judicial as a defense lawyer, and his team placed 4th out of 11 teams.   He auditioned for and made All-State Orchestra.

Vicki is teaching 8th grade Science for the fifth year at the Montgomery Catholic Middle School. She is participating in the Long-Range Strategic Planning for the school on the Fine Arts Committee.

This has been a trying year for me working at the Church. We got a new pastor at the beginning of the year, and he and I did not see eye-to-eye right from the very beginning. As a result, in June my duties were realigned away from the bookkeeping I had been doing. I was still the facilities manager, and we were able to get some important projects done. Still, while I like the man personally, I could not mesh with his leadership style in any way. As a result, I was informed that I would be laid off, effective on January 1 st . Not exactly what I wanted to hear going into the holiday season, but at least now I know I have to find another direction in my life. I would appreciate all of your prayers."

Thanks again for all you do!

Love, Brian

From Connie and Thom:
The weather has cooled off and feels like the holidays are on the way.

We have had a rather normal year and it is about over, how time flies when a person is busy.

I purchased a new Singer sewing machine, and have had some time to spend with it, making things, all sorts of things. The first project was to make pillows for grandkids. Hunter and Sierra made some hand painting in their early years of their education at Sanders Memorial elementary school. Hunter had 4 pictures and Sierra had 5 so I had a challenge as to how I could make pillows with school colors and the pictures. Mission was accomplished. (Four pictures on the front of the pillow, (for Hunter) and Sierra got four on the front and one on the back. Then I started working on items for Christmas.

The rest of the year has been busy taking Sierra to and from school, about three times a week, for Kathy while she is going to school and working. I am still going to a Bible Study Group on Thursday; I am no longer taking Marguerite to the beauty shop. She had a fall a couple months ago and her daughter- in -law is taking care of her. I do go by and visit with her regularly, while I’m in Land O Lakes.

Thom is still with Busch Gardens doing the same things he was last year.

Hope everyone has a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Love to all,

Connie & Thom

From Joe and family:
Wow, what a year! Moved to Chiefland Fl. for about 7 months andattended Santa Fe College for a seester. Had a short storie and two pictures in "the Zephyr" the colleges Literary magazine. Movd back to Dade City and continued attending Pasco Hernando Sate College for my AS in Human Service. Started seeing my high school Prom date (32 years later) and on November 11th we were married. Sherri truly is a blessing in my life. Nichole is still working at Kendyl's daycare and they are both growing so fast. Nichole is a great mom and Kendyl is so much like she was as a baby. Still having a hard time accepting that I'm a Grandfather! Baylee is finishing her junior year and still playing soccer. Pray everyone has a blessed year! Love to all.

From Amy and family:
Happy Holidays!

As some of you may and some may not Joe and I have divorced. As sad as it is to see that chapter of our lives come to end we have remained good friends. With that said I want to thank all of those who still make me feel part of the family. Now on to what my family has been up to in the last year….

Amy and John are still living in Zephryhills. John has been promoted to 2 nd Assistant @ the McDonalds in Wesley Chapel. Amy has finished school and will graduate in January with a degree in Medical Administrative Assistant . She works for a pediatric office in Wesley Chapel and absolutely loves it. They still have their beloved Beagle Mac.

Nichole is working for a daycare in Wesley Chapel. She loves it. She gets to be with Kendyl all day. Kendyl is 21 months and growing like a weed.

Baylee is a junior in high school. She is playing competitive soccer for the Wesley Chapel Flames. She got her drivers license in April and hopefully we will be able to get her car soon.

As for myself I still work for Frost Management. I have worked for them for almost 27 years. We opened a brand new restaurant and rebuilt one in the last year so that kept me quite busy. Other than that I have been busy being the team manager for Baylee’s soccer team. Spending lots of time with my granddaughter Kendyl.

Lots of love and well wishes to everyone

Amy, Baylee, Nichole, Kendyl, Amy and John

From Kathy and family:
Hello to all,

This year has come and gone very quickly. We are all doing very well. I am still at the same hospital in the operating room and working on my Bachelors degree. Hunter resigned from his job at McDonalds in April and is now working as a transporter at my hospital. He works the night shift and seems to really enjoy it. He is young and can handle staying up all night. He recently passed his CNA boards and is hoping to get a position in the emergency room. He is also taking classes at the local college. Sierra is in the 10th grade and is doing very well. She is taking sign language and drivers Ed. She is really enjoying both of those classes. I am very thankful to my mother for helping me get her to and from school on a weekly basis. Sierra will be 16 years old in January and will be driving herself around very soon. That will be bittersweet for me as she will no longer need me to take her places. Justin bought a house this year and got engaged in November to a very sweet girl. No details on the wedding yet. He is working at TECO as an apprentice and is doing very well. Sending our love to all and wishing you all health and happiness in the New Year.

Love Kathy, Hunter and Sierra Himes

From Dan and Barbara:
This year I am writing this from the Walden House in New York. It is very cold this morning and I seem to feel the cold more now than ever. I guess my upstate New York upbringing is getting thin after being in Florida for so long. It still doesn’t take away my feeling that this area is home and does still warm my heart!! I love the four seasons and winter in particular. Ice skating and snow skiing are really missed in my heart and of course being nearer to our daughter and family are missed even more.

As soon as I got to Stewart Airport in Newburgh, NY Laurie picked me up and we rushed our way to the Middle School to watch Rhapsody’s chorus Christmas Recital. It was really a treat to see one of our Grandchilden on stage among so many other children singing her heart out in the front row!!

I also got to participate in the annual shopping and cutting down the perfect Christmas tree. The girls and Nick took turns with the saw in some bitter cold weather but there were no complaints among any of the many families doing the same. Today is the family trimming this beautiful huge tree! Wish Dan was here to enjoy some of the traditional preparations for my favorite time of the year!

This year began pretty quietly for us. We came home from a wonderful 2013 Christmas at Laurie’s and the weather was somewhat warmer and it felt good not to have to wear a winter coat! We pretty much stuck to Florida for most of the year with a few side trips here and there.

One of highlights was visiting with Evan on family weekend at Fort Benning, GA where he was graduating soon from basic training. After making it through Jump School his goal is to be in Special Forces. He is now waiting for his training to begin.

We made a couple trips to Smyrna, GA to visit and quilt with Cinda and Ben. We always appreciate their generous hospitality and love being able to spend time with both of them. We really love making trips to have lunches with Ralph, Paula and George either in Dade City or meeting somewhere in between. I miss being around them and wish we could visit more. We also met up with what I call the “Cruise Bunch” for lunch and visits. These are friends who went to high school with Dan. We also attended the Pasco H.S. reunion with them and really enjoyed the Bellamy Brother’s concert too.

After 15 yrs of being diagnosed with carpal tunnel in both of my hands, I finally had surgery to cure this problem. Boy what a relief not to have hands falling asleep all the time! I kept putting it off and as the doctor’s told me it does get worse. One thing I did not like was getting the very uncomfortable nerve conduction tests again!!

We felt so blessed to spend Thanksgiving this year with Cinda and Ben. It has been many years since we have had this thankful holiday with family! What a wonderful day it was with some amazing food!! Once again, thank you Ben and Cinda!

We did make trips to NY to visit with Laurie and family. This year Christmas will be the best as Danny is coming to NY from Kwajalein and Danny’s friend Erika from CA will join us too. Special surprise guest will be Evan flying up from North Carolina to be with us. Dan and I have so much to be Thankful to God for, especially a wonderful family.

J.R. and Nick hung all the outside Christmas lights so Dan can just enjoy without the work. Now if only he doesn’t have to help shovel snow or run the snow blower I think he will even be happier!!

We wish you all a very “Merry Christmas” and a “Blessed New Year” and hope all of you enjoy the modern approach to this wonderful family newsletter!

God Bless everyone!

From Laurie and Family:
Things in New York are going well. As usual we all have been very busy; JR travels almost every month. Samantha is still very active in gymnastics winning the New York State XCEL Silver Championship again, this year she was old enough to participate in Regional's against 7 states. Rhapsody is enjoying her first year in middle school, finding a few clubs she likes. Nicholas interviewed for a job this week, hoping he gets it! I achieved Executive Unit Leader title for my Avon Business.

If you ever find yourself in New York, drop me a line, I would love to see each and every one of you!

Wishing you all love, health and happiness throughout the year!

The House of Walden, New York

From Cinda and Ben:
Merry Christmas everyone!

First of all, thank you so much, Dan and Barbara, for so many years of keeping family updated with these newsletters. It is such a special way to keep us together. A priceless gift!

I had a very exciting March, traveling to Sydney, Australia with Paula. Wow, that hadn’t even been a “bucket list” item, but what a fabulous week. This was my first time on the other side of the earth. Thank you, Paula (and your boss!) and Ralph, for such a wonderful gift.

Ben and I got a chance to see our grandson, Ryan, perform in a Show Choir production of The Wiz in Ozland. He had two parts, one as a member of the Lollipop Guild and the other as the head of army of Flying Monkeys. Such a cute production. Loved the aviator glasses, Ryan!

We were also very fortunate to have Ryan and Chris visit us one weekend when a Southeastern Lacrosse tournament was held just north of Atlanta. Ryan, himself, scored several goals!!

Granddaughter, Millie, also found herself on stage as Little Red Riding Hood in a skit for a school drama competition. Her group’s performance won, so they’ll go to the countywide meet early next year. It is a real treat (and privilege) to watch young people taking advantage of the many ways to round out their education.

There were many memorable events this year: Sarah and Dan’s wedding celebration in New Orleans, Evan’s graduation at Ft. Benning, Susie’s promotion to Major General at Scott AFB, and Jennifer Davidson’s bridal shower near Chicago. It was so great to have a chance to connect with family (and to meet more extended family) at these fun times.

Sadly, Rebecca’s husband, Jacade, lost his father this summer as well. He had served in Viet Nam and was laid to rest at the beautiful National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN. Michael surely will be missed.

Ben and I are so blessed to still pursue our “hobby” projects, of which one is quilting. We have a small home setup that allows us to quilt digital patterns using a computer, robot, and mid-arm sewing machine. We love it when family members take advantage of it for stitching a quilt top. Hint, hint! Barbara and Dan came twice this year, and Barbara always has the most beautiful pieces ready for quilting. All went well, until last week, when our vintage system failed in the middle of their visit. A crucial part stopped working, and we now have learned that it is no longer manufactured. Needless to say, we are hoping that the part can be rebuilt. Time will tell. Don’t give up on us, Barbara!

Ben also took on another major project this fall, when he agreed to manage our neighborhood’s landscaping renewal project. He worked with a horticulturalist and landscapers to plan and renovate a dozen home sites, as well as some of the overgrown and “tired” common areas of our townhome community. I barely saw him for two months. This was one of the few times I have been glad to see the cold weather come in, signaling the end of the planting season!

Ben and I send our most heartfelt good wishes for everyone’s Christmas season and for the next year.

Love and hugs to all, Cinda and Ben

From Alexa and family:
Merry Christmas Everyone!

It's hard to believe it's already time to do another update!

Ryan started middle school this year, which starts in fifth grade at his school.  He has embraced the increase in freedom and responsibility that comes with being in middle school.  He is enjoying playing sports for the school team.  He started in soccer in the fall and is currently on the swim team for the winter season.  He also continues to love lacrosse, and we travelled to several tournaments in the spring and summer with his select team.  Ryan also participated in his school's Battle of the Books team in March, which won 2nd place in the state competition!

Chris continues to be very busy with work and his MBA program.  He is planning to attend a week long class in Hong Kong in March.  Alexa still enjoys working part-time as an Optometrist and spending the rest of her time volunteering at Ryan's school.

We enjoyed several trips this year as well.  We spent spring break in Orlando, visiting Disney World.  In July, we travelled to New York, and spent the 4th of July watching the fireworks from a sailboat on the Hudson River.  It was spectacular!  In August, we went lobster fishing in the Florida Keys - a first for Ryan and Alexa.

We are looking forward to seeing Ben & Cinda again very soon for Christmas! Warm wishes to all of you for a year of peace & joy!

Chris, Alexa & Ryan Lupfer

From Rebecca and family:
Greetings from McDonough, GA -

Can you believe another year has passed? It was a fairly quiet beginning of the year. But May was a busy month because we moved from Griffin to McDonough and Millie finished first grade at Rock Springs Christian Academy. Millie participated in a talent show at school performing her hula-hoop routine. She did really good...totally rocked it!

During the summer, we traveled many times to North Georgia to visit with Jacade's dad who was very sick. Unfortunately, he passed away in July.

Millie started second grade in August at a new school, Timber Ridge Elementary. It took a little bit of adjusting and making new friends, but she is doing really well now. She and nine of her classmates recently participated in a Literacy Days Drama Competition, performing the play, "Reading, Writing and Little Red Riding Hood" with Millie as Little Red Riding Hood. They won first place and will now represent Henry County in January at the next competition. She was a natural up on stage.

Millie started playing soccer this year at Salem Baptist Church. Our team only won two games but the experience was still fun and we made some friends along the way.

Jacade is still at Rockdale County Fire Department and was recently promoted to Relief Driver. I'm still patiently looking for a job and helping Jacade with some handyman projects. I know God has a plan for my life; just trying to figure out what to do next.

Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year with lots of blessings.

Jacade, Rebecca and Millie

From Melda and Jack:
Hi Gang! Merry Christmas!!

Yes, some things never change . . . where did 2014 go??? We hope each of you had a wonderful and exciting year, as we did. So proud of the hard work and the successes and accomplishments of our family and relatives.

Of course the highlights of our year were the family gatherings, the proud parent moments and, of course, spending some time with Laney, Landon, Leah and Lauren. Lauren turned five in October and she had a great big Frozen birthday party with all her princess friends and even Elsa helped her celebrate. Leah continues to amaze us her with her ability to complete the complex Lego figures in no time. We enjoy seeing Landon playing soccer and basketball. He has really improved this past year. Laney is quickly becoming a volley ball star.

No big trips this year—work continues to take most of our week-day time. But we did go scalloping with some friends who live on the Chassahowitzka River in late July. First time that I had snorkeled which was fun (I survived!). The scallops were plentiful. Thankfully, our friends were experts and we enjoyed a great seafood meal after a beautiful day on the boat in the Gulf.

With the purchase last year of a small orange grove on Jessamine Road adjoining our pasture, we have gotten an address, a well and electricity. We are spending and enjoying more time at “The Farm” especially on the weekends. The orange trees were declining due to greening disease – which we knew when we purchased the property. So after the grove was picked in late December – early January, we moved forward to have the trees removed. By mid-summer we had planted in Tifton-44 hay and got our first cutting in late October.

The landscape of St. Joe has changed a great deal in recent years. Peach orchards and hay fields have replaced what were once orange groves. There are also corn fields which have been combined for the seed and some olive groves. It is nice to see that wild turkeys are also plentiful. It is not uncommon to see 20-30 in a flock in the area.

Last winter, with the help of Ralph and Monica, we refurbished the Crucifix at Sacred Heart Cemetery. We replaced the wooden cross and restored the Risen Christ corpus which was purchased by mom and dad about 40 years ago. Ralph also installed up-lighting which illuminates the cross at night and adds such a nice feature.

Katherine Higgins is being well-cared for at a wonderful adult home in Orlando. We are so blessed to have found the Ponce Adult Family Care home. While we don’t have an opportunity to see her as often as when she was in Tampa, the daily care is much, much better.

Best wishes for a very Merry Christmas and all the best in 2015.

Love,

Melda and Jack

From Rebecca and Family:
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! 2014 was a year of many blessings for which we are thankful and we are looking forward to new adventures next year.

Our girls are growing faster than we can believe. Leah is now 7 and in the second grade. Lauren is 5 and a "redshirt" in Pre-k4 due to her October birthday. Leah participated on her school's track and basketball teams and has started taking piano lessons. She continues to love practicing her snow skiing anytime she can break out of Florida for some winter weather. Lauren is taking more ballet lessons and getting better on the skis, too.

Travis has spent the work weeks of the past year on a technology consulting project in Boca Raton. He's helping architect the merger of Office Depot and Office Max' systems. It's been a great opportunity for him, though we really have a long "honey do" list each weekend to keep him busy when he's home. The weekends fly by! I'm staying very busy with my business per usual, too. I love the chance to work with some wonderfully ambitious business owners and executives.

Our family enjoyed a lot of business travel and somehow snuck in some fun getaways this year, too. We skied at Park City, Utah a couple of times early in the year, and visited Travis' mom at Hot Springs, VA for a traditional 4th of July celebration at the Homestead. Travis and I went to Cancun for a few days of sun and sand in late June. We took the girls to NYC for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and they loved visiting the city for their first time. It was so fun to see them take it all in. We'll never forget the memories from that trip. It made a big impression on all of us.

Many blessings for a healthy, happy, and prosperous new year! Love, Rebecca, Travis, Leah, and Lauren

From Rob and Family:
Hi all! 2014 was another great year for our family! The kids continue to grow so fast with Landon turning eight last January and Laney turning ten in May. Casey still teaches PE at the same school our kids attend (3rd and 5th Grade, Corpus Christi). Landon plays competitive soccer for the New Tampa Chargers, while Laney plays club volleyball for the Tampa Elite. They both also like playing basketball (just like their parents used to!). I recently celebrated my 10th anniversary at the Tampa Bay Sports Commission, which has truly been a dream job. Speaking of anniversaries, Casey and I celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary in September and feel blessed to have such a wonderful relationship and family. We wish everyone a great holiday season and the happiest of New Years!

Sincerely,
Rob, Casey, Laney and Landon

From Monica and Herman:
Merry Christmas to all!!

This year has been pretty stressful for Herman. Researchers are doing their best to figure greening out, but that means constantly changing materials. Spraying used to be done three times a year, now it is done about once a month. He has so much to keep up with, and I have been able to help a little in that department. There is some research showing that if the tree temperature is increased to 125° for a period of time the virus in the tree will be killed. A portable “roof” is placed over the tree and it stays until the temperature is at the optimal temperature for the recommended time then moved to another tree. The roof has a vent in it so when the temperature gets too high it can cool it back down. (NOTE: This is greatly simplified). The trees likely will be infected again, but the treatment is thought to last about 3 years. Sounds interesting to me, and I hope they will figure out how to move that “roof”.

New things this year: I learned to make sourdough bread. I had made bread before, but not sourdough. I did lot of decluttering, organizing and cleaning. I spent more time with the Grandchildren. I’m very thankful that I’ve been able to go to daily Mass more frequently than when I was working.

We are thankful for so many things: our Church, our country, our family. Thank you, Dan, for once again preparing this newsletter! We love reading each of the messages! The newsletter is my go-to reference throughout the year!

May God bless each of you in this Christmas Season and in the coming New Year!

Love all of you,
Herman and Monica

From Shelley and family:
Merrrrrrrrrry Christmas from the Oliver's. This had been a trying year for us. Just after Christmas last year, on Hunter's birthday to be exact, my smart, plucky, hard working, stubborn, and loving Grandma Bertha Zeranski went home to be with Our Lord. Two weeks later, my dad was evaluated at the hospital and found to have advanced kidney cancer. Surgery was successful and he is approaching the one year mark of being cancer free and for the most part back to his sassy, hard-working, "Roger" self. The year has taken a toll on us all, relationship wise, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We just ask that everyone remain prayerful and remember to tell each other how much you love and appreciate them.

I have continued pre-school teaching at Sacred Heart Early Childhood Center and Darrell remains with Air Centers of Florida.

Luke remains a full time ranch manager and hay guru. It's a hard gig to get at his age, but he is so good at what he does! Sarah Denney remains his beautiful, capable, Camo wearing side kick, full time accounting student, and has now added office assistant to her many talented hats. She recently received her Associate Arts degree from Pasco Hernando State College and will continue her studies at Saint Leo University in January working toward her Bachelors degree in Accounting. They have become hog hunters and trappers with a pack of crazy but capable friends and hounds. We love their motley crew and are VERY PROUD of all their hard work!

Hunter is the lead trumpet for the Pasco Middle School Band of Pirates. He is also working on learning to play the Alto saxophone, drums, and guitar. He is knee deep in this years hog project for the Pasco County Fair and being a teenage boy. I did ask you guys to pray for me, right. *. He is transitioning from childhood into adulthood with style. We are VERY PROUD of the man he is becoming.

Sarah is in the second grade at San Antonio Elementary school and loves to SING and DANCE! She has been so blessed to be able to begin ballet lessons this year at the same studio as her cousins and to get several singing opportunities through school programs. She is blossoming before our very eyes. She is such a loving and emotionally generous child. Clearly from Barthle stock. We are VERY PROUD of our little lady.

Well lastly, we moved this year, closer to town and family, but still rural enough to be able to keep our pigs and chickens. So check out our new address and know you are all in our hearts and prayers. As my Grandma Bertha always said... The kettle is always on if you have time to stop...

We may not understand his ways, but God is Good, ALL the time! To his glory, we give praise!

Love, The Oliver's
Darrell, Shelley, Luke, Sarah D, Hunter, Sarah, Rascal, Blondie, Pecker, Fluffy, Clucky, Tiny, Princess, Pig 1, and Pig 2.

From Natalie and family:
Merry Christmas!!

Jayden is growing like a weed and almost taller than I am, I know… that’s not hard. She is still taking Ballet and Acro at Blackwood Studios. In August she received her letter that she would be going en Pointe this year and needed to be fitted for shoes. She is loving her Pointe class so far and I can’t keep her off her toes at home! She is still performing with the Little Stars performing group and loving every second! She’s definitely an entertainer at heart. She and I attended the Florida Dance Masters Convention in Orlando on Thanksgiving weekend and she had a blast! Intense classes all day for 3 ½ days and worth every minute! She is also in 4-H again this year and showing a hog at the Pasco County Fair again. Her hogs name is “Porkers” and she is responsible for feeding, watering and exercising him. It’s fun to watch her go from leotard and tights to jeans and boots getting dirty. She’s definitely a well-rounded kid. She is in the 5th grade this year making straight A’s and was just invited to join the Cambridge Program next year. Super proud of this kid….in case it didn’t show *

Dylan is in the 9th grade at Pasco High this year. He decided not to get back in band this year. Instead he has joined the NJROTC and loves it! I love that he is learning about being a part of something bigger than him, discipline and being a part of a team. He just turned 15 and got his license. So if you see my car with me plastered to the passenger side window, please pray for me... *

Tyler graduated from Pasco High earlier this year. He has started taking classes at Pasco Hernando State College, working towards a degree as an Electrical Engineer. He worked at the Farm Basket for Duane his senior year. He loves having money of his own and doesn’t have to ask me for it. He was offered a job with his Uncle Greg Keith, who owns Central Florida Tractor, and he took it. He loves working with his hands and has been doing small engine work as a hobby since he could walk, so getting paid for it is a bonus. He turned 19 in September and is 6’2”. He has to bend down and pick me up for my hugs. He has grown into a responsible, hardworking and handsome young man!

Jon is still running our appliance repair company, which allows him to make his schedule around Jayden’s full schedule. He is an awesome husband and amazing father! He does all of the dropping off and picking up during the day, which makes all of the kids’ activities possible. Oh and he cooks dinner EVERY NIGHT!! Have I told you I love this man! He has hunted a few times this year but hasn’t killed anything. Thankfully he enjoys being able to go and get away from the craziness even if he doesn’t bring anything home.

I have had a very interesting year… I had sinus surgery in February, thanks to an infection that I couldn’t kick for 2 months. Lupus makes it harder for my body to fight infections, so a small cold can turn into a huge problem quickly. Thankfully that was my ONLY surgery this year! It’s been a while since I could say that. In January Dr. McBath sold his practice to Bayfront Health. Even though we were promised nothing would change…. Well we know how that works. After 5 months, they let him go from his own practice. It made going into the office very difficult for me every day. While on a girls’ trip to Denver in July, a friend sent me a text that I needed to send my resume to her as soon as I got back. Not knowing what it was for, I sent it to her on Tuesday. Friday I got a call from my cardiologist, Dr. Rao (whom I have worked with through McBaths’ office for years). He told me he was looking for an Office Manager and really wanted me. I went and talked to him that day! Sunday night he called me and made me an offer I couldn’t turn down! I went to work on Monday and gave my 2 week notice. As of August 1, I am responsible for all 5 offices, Zephyrhills, Dade City, Wesley Chapel, Temple Terrace, and Lakeland. It keeps me on my toes but I love it! Since I do a lot more driving now, I traded my 2011 Chevy Traverse for a 2015 Chrysler 200 Sport. It’s saves me ton on gas and payments... and I will admit, it’s a lot more fun to drive..lol!

As if all of this were not enough, on the night of Tyler’s Senior Prom, our house flooded. The main line that comes into the house through the foundation had ruptured and well…let’s just say WHAT A MESS! Jayden’s room took the brunt of the damage. We had to re-plumb the whole house! We had to gut Jayden’s room and start over. I told Jon she had wanted a Paris themed room, so we used this opportunity to give it to her. We sent her off for the weekend so we could surprise her with the finished product. She loved it! The new wood floor in the hallway also had to be replaced.

All in all we had an amazing year. Even with a few bumps along the way. We want to wish everyone in this big wonderful family of ours, a joyous, blessed and safe holiday!

We love you guys!

Natalie, Jon, Ty, Dylan, and Jayden

From Bill and family:
Hello Family,

Another year of blessings and good tidings! Last year Jasmine and I welcomed our daughter Aubrie Marie Zeranski into our clan. That made this year full of excitement, firsts and special moments! Aubrie rolled over at 4 months, got her first tooth at 5 month, crawled at 6 months, she danced and said her first words Dada at 9 months, followed by her first unassisted steps at 10 months. Last month brought her first birthday and what an occasion it was. Thank you to everyone for the love, prayers and support! She is truly a blessing to everyone she meets. Jasmine has been a great stay at home mom during the week and took a new job working at the YMCA on the weekends. I am head of personal training at Anytime Fitness in Dade City and enjoy my time with Aubrie on the weekends.

We took our first family vacation to Disney in May. Where I proposed to Jasmine in front of the Castle at the Magic Kingdom. We don't have a wedding date set but are looking at Spring of 2016. July this year I celebrated the wonderful milestone of 30! Jasmine truly surprised me by throwing a party at the lake with family and friends. Also carried out my tradition of camping at Ginnie Springs for a weekend. August I took a weekend trip to Atlanta during which I got to visit with Aunt Cinda & Uncle Ben. I loved seeing them and spending time catching up. September we took our second family vacation to New York City. This was my first real trip to NYC. We crammed a lot into four days while visiting Jasmine's family. Highlights of the vacation were Time Square, the Met, a walk through Central Park, St. Patrick's Cathedral and a roof top bar next to the Empire State Building. October brought Aubrie's first Halloween which she got to be Pebble's from the Flinstone's thanks to a home made costume from Aunt Nat! November we had a quiet Thanksgiving and we look forward to a nice Christmas with Family and Friends. We plan to round out this year and bring in the New Year in Washington D.C. while we visit with Joe and Anne!

We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

From Ralph and Paula:
As we wrap up another year, we hope this finds everyone well.

The big event this year was Paula and Cinda's trip to Australia in early March. They met up in Los Angeles and flew to Sydney for a five day stay in the land down under. They covered a lot in a short time including, a ride along for a sail boat race, a visit to the zoo (complete with up close and personal with the Koalas, Tasmanian Devils, Wombats, Emus, Wallabies, and Kangaroos), also a visit to the Blue Mountains to see the Three Sisters peaks, and the Rain Forest among many others. Hanging out in Sydney taking in the sites and cuisines, and visiting the Sydney Opera House was also a highlight of the trip.

In May, we were invited to attend Saint Leo University's graduation ceremonies, where we saw and heard Mike Petters give the commencement speech for the bachelor's degree group, and Suzie Davidson give the commencement speech for the masters degree group. They did a great job, and we were honored to be in attendance.

In June, Ralph's appendix decided it had had enough already, and wanted out! Paula took him to the emergency room for the hospital in Dade City, and his surgery was done shortly thereafter. All went smoothly and his recovery was uneventful. Many thanks to the doctors and staff for their excellent care.

In August, Paula went to Syracuse, NY, with Wendy (her cousin's wife), for Wendy's 40th high school class reunion. From all accounts, they had a great time, and Paula made some new friends. In October Paula traveled to Nashville for a National Kubota meeting, and in November, she traveled to Memphis with the USF Bulls football team (this time Wendy went with her).

Also in October, Paula completed five years at Precision Kia of Wesley Chapel/Gulf Coast Turf and Tractor. Ralph's tenure at the Florida Lottery reached the 27 year mark in November. Time flies....

That about sums it up for this year. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
Love to all,
Paula and Ralph
