Dec.27, Shelley is still going to the doctor twice a week (Tuesday and Friday). She is also still at bed rest. When she went to the doctor yesterday, her blood pressure was up, but after resting on her left side for five minutes, it was within "non-life threatening" limits. Her doctor called the hospital and asked them to schedule her induction. He explained there are lots of inductions this week (last week of the year and all), but what they usually do is let you know the night before that you are to show up at 5:45 am. The doctor scheduled an appointment for Friday, although he expected her to have Baby before then. The hospital called this morning and told her the earliest she can come in is next Wednesday, January 3rd.

If she goes into labor on her own, they won't try to stop it, so she still may have her little one before then, but if not, it looks like next Wednesday is the day.

Shelley's blood pressure dropped very low after they started the epidural, but she had alerted them that that had happened when she had Luke, and when they had to call the anesthesiologist back to check her, the anesthesiologist brought the medication she needed with her, gave her a shot, and within minutes (maybe less), Shelley was stabilized. I'm very pleased with her care. She was being moved to a regular room when I left.
