77, of Lutz died Oct. 14, 2014. Funeral Mass will be held 2 PM Tuesday at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Tampa.

Gertrude Mary “Trudy” LaBruzzo, passed away October 14, 2014. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife, sister, aunt and friend. Trudy was a compassionate women; always putting those around her first. Born at the family home to Joseph and Helen Neuhofer in 1937.
she was surrounded by a large loving family. She was independent and a mischievous child. Trudy graduated in ‘55 from Holy Name Academy in San Antonio, FL. Trudy worked for Ferdinando Vizzi M.D. as an office manager for over 40 yrs.
Trudy met Peter LaBruzzo on January 20, 1962 at the St Petersburg Coliseum, a catholic social club. Trudy and Pete danced and something inside told her “this was the man I was going to marry someday.” The coming weeks they meet at the Colombia Restaurant, ate strawberry pie, and danced at the Holiday House.
They were married in ‘65 at Sacred Heart Church. In ‘77, they adopted Colette Marie. Trudy was a dedicated mother and always encouraged and supported her. Colette gave birth to Daymein and Living Thorn. They were the joy of Trudy’s life and she loved them very much. Trudy enjoyed gardening, crafting, and the company of friends/family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Trudy is survived by her husband, daughter, grandsons and siblings, Dorothy, Joseph, Paul, Mary Clare, Lena, Frank, Pat and Mike.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Tampa.
