"  DAVID DENNIS ONDROVIC"
was born on Wednesday, March 2, 1955 at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Tampa, Florida, at 12:04 p.m.

He attended Christ the King Parochial Grade School from the Fall of 1961 through the Spring of 1969. Received First Communion in 2nd Grade (May 4,1963) and was Confirmed in the 4th Grade (November 18, 1964). There he was the manager of the Christ the King Lions basketball team in 7th and 8th Grade. He also ran Track & Field and was the 1969 1/4 mile CYAA champion. He is also a 1973 graduate of Tampa Catholic High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society and lettered in Track and Field. In 1977, he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Physical Education from the University of South Florida, Tampa, Florida.

Dave began his military service on November 22, 1978, and graduated Air Force Basic Military Training School (BMTS) at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, an honor graduate of Honor Flight 519, 3706 BMTS, on January 9, 1979. Next, Dave attended the physical therapy technician course at the School of Health Care Sciences, Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, where he graduated first in his class on March 20, 1979. Dave Ondrovic was a by-name selection for a tour at the United States Air Force Academy as one of only nine staff athletic trainers (in the Air Force) in the cadet training rooms. News of his selection for Officer Training School (OTS) at Medina Annex, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, came next. So, Dave was temporarily assigned as a physical therapy technician at the Air Force Academy Hospital until his OTS class began in February 1980.

Dave received his commission as a second lieutenant on May 15, 1980. Dave completed a Master of Arts Degree in Management at Webster University (Colorado Springs, Colorado Campus), in 1987. He is a 1983 graduate of Squadron Officer School and a 1987 graduate of the Center For Aerospace Doctrine, Research, and Education (CADRE) Contingency War Plans Course (CWPC) both at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama. Upon commissioning Dave attended the Administrative Management/Executive Support Officer course at Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. He graduated with an academic average of 95 percent in June 1980.

His first assignment was as an administrative management staff officer, Directorate of Administration, Headquarters Air Force Systems Command (AFSC), Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland. In May 1982, the AFSC Inspector General hand-picked him to fill the chair of his Executive Officer.

In November, 1982, Dave was transferred to Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, where he joined the joint-service staff of the Department of Defense Manager's Space Transportation System (STS) Contingency Support Office as the Executive Services Officer. He served on 13 STS missions as DoD Landing Support Officer at Patrick Air Force Base, Florida; Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida; and at the NASA Lyndon Baines Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas.

In June 1985, Dave was reassigned to Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, where he served as the Executive Officer for the Base Commander, before becoming the Chief of Administration, at Falcon Air Force Station, Colorado. In April 1987, he was assigned as the Chief, Plans and Programs Division, Directorate of Information Management (Administration), Headquarters Air Force Space Command (HQ AFSPACECOM).

In May 1988, Dave became the Executive Officer/Chief of Information Management, 13th Missile Warning Squadron (13th MWS) [Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS)], Clear Air Force Station, Alaska. It was during this tour that the 13th MWS became the first remote site (BMEWS) in the history of AFSPACECOM to receive an "Excellent" rating on an operational readiness inspection (ORI).

In May 1989, Dave joined the joint-service staff of the Defense Courier Service, headquartered at Fort George G. Meade, Maryland, as the Executive Officer for the Commander. He served in this capacity until February 1992. He relocated first to Andrews Air Force Base, Maryland, with Headquarters Air Force Systems Command (HQ AFSC); and then to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, as the Command Liaison Resources Manager, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Directorate of Requirements, Resources Management Division, in May 1992, as AFSC and Air Force Logistics Command (AFLC) integrated to become Air Force Materiel Command. Major Ondrovic was a master information manager and his awards and decorations include:

Defense Meritorious Service Medal (with one oak leaf cluster);
Meritorious Service Medal;
Air Force Commendation Medal (with two oak leaf clusters);
Joint Meritorious Unit Award (with one oak leaf cluster);
Air Force Outstanding Unit Award;
Air Force Organizational Excellence Award (with two oak leaf clusters);
Air Force Good Conduct Medal;
National Defense Service Medal;
Air Force Overseas Service Ribbon (short tour);
Air Force Longevity Service Ribbon (with two oak leaf clusters);
Basic Military Training Honor Graduate Ribbon;
Air Force Training Ribbon (with one oak leaf Cluster).

Dave Ondrovic was promoted to Major on April 1, 1992. Having served for 16 years and 10 months, Dave resigned his active commission in the Air Force on September 30, 1994. Major Ondrovic had retained a Regular Commission, (Inactive Reserves - subject to recall at the pleasure of the POTUS) thru April, 30, 2006, and was Honorably Discharged (for a third time - - this time from the United States Air Force Reserves) on May 1, 2006. Dave had worked as a Product Quality Specialist for Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories, from 1995 to 1997. He began working in the Securities Brokerage industry (with Wheat First Securities, Inc. at Richmond, Virginia) in 1997, and is currently (Since 2008) a Compliance Consultant with Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC, member NYSE & SIPC, at their Corporate Home Office in Saint Louis, MO. Dave now resides in O'Fallon, MO (Northwest of Saint Louis, MO; in Saint Charles County - - about 16 miles west of the Missouri River.)

Dave is the proud father of two daughters (Julia Stephanie of Colorado Springs, Colorado: Born in 1982 ; and Rebecca Elizabeth of Powell, WY: Born in 1985). Julia (2001) and Rebecca (2003) both graduated from Sand Creek High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rebecca graduate in the top 9 percent of her class; also was a member of the National Honor Society. She graduated with Honors from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) in 2007 with 2 Bachelor of Arts Degrees (in Psychology and Sociology.) Rebecca is a Resident Director on the staff of Northwest College in Powell, WY.

Dave was married Nov 17, 1979, at the Air Force Aademy Chapel, Colorade Spring CO to Catherine Marie Kowalczyk; born Jun 17, 1958, of Batavia, NY;(div-Dec 13, 1989) --Dave and Catherine had two children
