The life of Albert A. Barthle
(The second son of Joseph & Clara Barthle)
"Estella T. Barthle"
December 20, 1932 - August 08, 2021
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Estella Storch Barthle.
"Stella" passed away peacefully at the home where she raised her family on August 8, 2021, at the age of 88 years old.
Stella was born on December 20, 1932, in San Antonio, Florida, where she remained a life long resident. Attending St. Anthony's Catholic School through the 8th grade and then graduating from Holy Name Academy where she played basketball and volleyball.
Stella enjoyed long memberships in the Florida Cattlemen's Association where she once served as a director and was chosen as an "Outstanding Cattlewoman" as a member of the Florida Cattlewomen's Association. Stella and Albert were some of the first participants of a local supper club where Stella, after being widowed, continued to take part in for some 40 plus years. Being a part of the Founder's Garden Club and the Lazy Daisy Garden Clubs brought her much enjoyment for many years. Additionally, Stella was a member of the Red Hat Ladies and a life long member of St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church.
She was a loving and devoted mother to her four children Bill, Bob, Lisa and Deb. Only 38 years old when she lost her one and only love, Albert, she became her children's "rock" always making her family her priority. Having never remarried, she did take the opportunity to do some traveling, a trip to the "Holy Land" was one of her favorites. However, she never stayed away for long making sure to be home for her family.
Affectionately known as "Nina" to her 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren she always had a hug, homemade cakes or cookies and a cold Pepsi for anyone who came through her kitchen door.
Family traditions were most important to Stella. She loved decorating her home for each holiday and she always made sure her homemade Christmas cookies were prepared well in advance and then delivering homemade cinnamon rolls to her family on Christmas morning. She was the "heart" of the Barthle Christmas.
Stella is survived by her son, Bob Barthle, and daughters, Lisa Fagan and Deb Hamilton, ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Predeceasing Stella in death, her husband, Albert A. Barthle, son, Bill Barthle and granddaughter, Britney Barthle.
The family understands how special Stella was and how much the community would want to pay their respects, and to support her family at this devastating time. However, due to the current pandemic conditions, the family asks that you respect their wishes that the funeral remain private and among family only.
Her family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church.
